5 months of Claire

She may be little in size but not in personality. She is just under 16 lbs, she is still teething, she screams at her toys, gives boy babies aka (her boyfriends) dirty looks, she laughs when we say "you're gonna get it," she makes me share my water with her or she will scream at me (I don't know where that is coming from) she likes "wheels on the bus," she likes the backyardigans, she loves a good nelly or usher song, she is in to kicking off her shoes, pulling off and eating her socks, she loves grabbing faces, she loves to people watch and finally she loves the morning, she talks to the window in our room every morning. I think she is talking to heaven saying "please take me back." ha Claire you are small but you are BIG to me. I love you my sweet girl.

The first morning we had her with us.

4 1/2 months. Little chick would only take pictures in her bumbo.
Really? Too young for such an attitude.
Also on a side note I say during the day at least 20 times,
"Alright, alright, seriously Claire?" Then she says back to me
" ahhh, waah, waah, waah, uhhh, ahhhhhhh." We call her "CC." For Crazy, Claire.

This week at my sisters play. Look at her now.
That is the face I get to see everyday.

Trying to make friends with the big kids.

Her crazy self.

28 years

Grant turned 28 on Sunday. We had a low key party and celebrated over the weekend. I have celebrated with Grant 5 years of Birthdays. Time has gone by quickly when I think about meeting him when I was a crazy 18 year old and he was such a serious 23 year old. I love our story, I love our life and the years I have had with him. Oh Grant how glad I am that you are the one I celebrate Birthdays with. It would have never worked with anyone else. We have so much together. I love you Grantly.

We took the van off but it was a " I live in a van down by the river," cake theme.
If you know Grant, he quotes everything and everyone, especially Chris Farley.
See the finger mark on the right side, ya that was me. I forgot that it wasn't time to eat, "Lay off me I'm starving." ha

I may just melt....

Ok seriously? I may just melt over this stage....4 months has been a blast with this little chick. She has started playing with our faces and my hair. I have waited for this forever, I love it. She is teething right now and that for us is pretty killer. Thank heavens for modern meds and teething toys, without them I would be checking into a crazy house. Besides her teething time, we have loved every second with her. She is babbling....oh also growling at people and telling me she is when she is mad. She is a real cutie. I am sure we have some great times ahead, she couldn't be normal with me as her Mom, Right? She is rolling all over, she doesn't like to sit down and she has mastered turning book pages I have it on video because no one believed me. I will post it. I just think she wants to be older. Here is Claire and her crazy life.

Uh..hey I am down here.

SPANKIN

see she is a monster, probably getting me back for something.

Trying to walk

look at how big she is now

If looks could kill...

Always gets to this point. Spoiled much?

She has a chip on her shoulder

Then she's crazy

Loving faces. Great Uncle Chris.

Hey (side note) I've heard that "some people" are offended by my blog posts, seriously?
Come on lets not get crazy. I am just sayin......

Mothers Day

Mothers Day was wonderful, I loved it. My gratitude level was at an all time high. To all the women I know and love I hope your day was as joyous as mine. I am so grateful for Claire and for her deciding to ride the crazy train of life with me as her Mom. I had a moment before there was even a thought of a little Claire that I wanted to someday have children but one day sitting in an institute class something said changed my whole thought process. A man that I knew very well (an old Bishop of mine) said " In your eternal life you will do nothing greater than be a Mother or father, there is nothing more important than having an eternal family." For some this may be way too deep but for me it was life changing. It took almost a year to add on to our family, one of the longest, hardest and faith building times for me. Grant and I prayed like never before. My heart goes out to our loved ones that have not yet been able to have children of there own, someday you will and I pray that your someday will come soon.

I am grateful for my Mother-in-law. Thank you for loving and excepting me from the start ( I know I'm a wild card.). I remember when I first met her I thought she was wonderful, wonderful for being who she is and for raising my Grant, molding him to become all that he is. My life would not be complete without that Man. Cherilyn thank you for being my friend, for thinking I am funny, for being my shopping partner, for your example of learning new things and most importantly for my Husband. :) I am grateful to my Mother. She is selfless, loving, a constant comfort and support. I know through her example all that a Mother should be, I will be a better person and Mother myself. I love you so much. Claire is so blessed to have you both in her life.

My little sugar, snap from yesterday.

Grandma Cherilyn.

Grandma Tiffany.

Thank you Grant for marrying me and wanting to have a family with me.
You may be a little crazy yourself. :)

Happy Mother's Day

Oh wait I forgot I talked to this guy!!!!!
He is in Peru on a mission for our church, I miss him like crazy.
Can't wait to see him again come this February. I love you brother bear.

Some things.....to Update

Claire is 4 months. FOUR months! 4 months. Really?Time is going to fast, loving her more and more everyday. I can't explain how I feel about her, she is the best little thing ever I can't even think about her without crying or feeling this wave of overwhelming joy. I know cheesy, but true. Here is our bundle, she rolls, eats rice cereal, holds her bottle, attacks people like ( grabbing and sucking on fingers all the way up to the elbow, she is really romantic.ha) silly, grabs her feet and sticks them in her mouth. Sick and cute, laughing out loud, plays favorites with her toys and still doesn't sleep well. I finally gave in, sleep is not her thing. :) Anyways she a party animal and we can't get enough.
She Looks a little McClendon here

First she's sour, then she's sweet

Grant and I went out on a date to the work banquet, in honor of one of Grant's employees. It was a blast we dinned and Danced with all the drunks. I actually quite enjoy that scene for people watching. :) Thank heavens for parties. The employees received Tiffany's gifts! Beautiful. I also sprayed my hair with fake tanner not hairspray mid way through spraying Grant say "what are you doing?" I replied "Spraying my hair." Grant looked puzzled "with self tanner?" Yep now my hair is tan. Awesome. Don't ask.
Date night

So shout to my Dad, my parents went a Ball, they loved it. Here is a picture of them just before, CHECK HIM OUT not to be weird he is my Dad but he has lost 37 pounds and looks great! So proud of him, he had struggled and sacrificed, but it is paying off. Don't mind his half smile, he is a hard one to photograph unless he is with Clairey. :)

Parents....what a mix I am of them.
